This grant provided funding to Duplin County to help Villari Brothers Foods expand its operations in the county. Villari Brothers Foods is a food processor located in Warsaw, NC that produces smoked drumsticks, pork loins and other value-added meat products. The company was expanding into new markets and expected to create 50 new jobs. To accommodate this growth, Villari Brothers Foods was enlarging its production facilities and adding smokehouses, processing, and refrigeration capacity. Golden LEAF funds were used to purchase refrigeration equipment that was leased to Villari Brothers Foods at fair market value.
