Description:

The grant provides support for the construction of public sewer infrastructure necessary to serve Wolfspeed, Inc. The company plans to make a capital investment of $4.8 billion in a new manufacturing facility at the Chatham-Siler City Advanced Manufacturing Site in Chatham County. The project is expected to create 1,800 new jobs paying an average annual wage of approximately $77,753, compared to the Chatham County average wage of $41,638.
