Description:

This award provides funding to City of Laurinburg to improve sewer infrastructure necessary for Project Granite. The company will make a capital investment of $18.7 million, create 182 new jobs, and retain 106 existing jobs. The new jobs will pay an average wage of $41,758, and the average wage of all jobs, new and retained, will be $42,622, compared to the Scotland County average wage of $36,308. Golden LEAF funds will be used to support renovation of a pump station that would serve the company and other sites in the area.
