Description:

This award provides funding to the Town of Holly Springs to improve public sewer capacity necessary to serve the planned location of Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies. The company plans to construct a new facility in Holly Springs, making a capital investment of approximately $1.5 billion and creating 725 new jobs paying, on average, nearly $100,000 annually. The site is located approximately one mile from the Harnett County line. Existing companies in the area draw employees from a 13-county region, and the town expects the company will draw workers from a similar range.
