Hurricane Matthew damaged a section of the Parkers Canal culvert in Rocky Mount. Preliminary engineering analysis recommends removal of the culvert and replacement with an open channel to relieve the closed upstream system. Golden LEAF Disaster Recovery Grant Program funding will support replacement of this stormwater infrastructure.
