The North Lakeshore Drive area in the Village of Clemmons experiences frequent flooding. This road is a major road for residential traffic around Lassater Lake. Flooding creates dangerous travel conditions when the road is overtopped. In addition, stormwater has begun to erode the area surrounding a nearby county sewer pump station. Golden LEAF flood mitigation grant funds will be used to improve the capacity of a culvert. Households in the immediate project area will benefit from this project.
