Description:

This Golden LEAF grant will assist Pamlico Community College (PCC) to enhance its Electrical Systems Technology (EST) program. PCC’s Trades Advisory Committee and local employers have indicated a need for a trained, skilled workforce to perform installation, operation, maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment and for other positions with skills in electrical systems maintenance. In order to upgrade the EST program to meet the demands of employers, PCC needs automated equipment and a full-time instructor. Golden LEAF funds will be used for personnel, software and hardware, technology, and training equipment.
