Description:

Flooding as a result of Hurricane Matthew damaged a portion of Ayden’s stormwater infrastructure that is located under a commercial building. Subsurface material has washed into the drainage system causing blockages, and the building’s settling around infrastructure has damaged the building. The town will relocate the piping from under the existing building and through a new easement. Golden LEAF Hurricane Matthew Disaster Recovery grant funds will be used for construction of the replacement stormwater infrastructure. No Golden LEAF funds will be used to repair the commercial building.
