This Golden LEAF grant provided funding to the Yadkin County Economic Development Partnership to help the metals division of Lydall Thermal/Acoustical, Inc., a manufacturer of specialty thermal and acoustical products, expand its operations in Yadkin County. The company was adding additional manufacturing and distribution capacity and becoming a zero waste facility. This grant supported an expansion that included creation of 30 new full-time positions. Funds were used to purchase a metal waste baler that was leased to Lydall Thermal/Acoustical, Inc. at fair market value.
