Open Grants Program
County of Applicant:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Vance County Schools for implementation of the iInspire Digital Learning Project, which is a new strategy for instructional delivery and academic outcomes for students. The goal for the project is to prepare every student to be competitive, positive contributors as global citizens. iInspire will embed the technical and essential employability skills into the district’s instructional programs to ensure student readiness to compete in the local, regional, and global workforce. iInspire will train 500+ K-12 teachers, instructional support staff, and school-based administrators in student-centered, technology-rich instructional practice. Vance County Schools has identified funding for digital devices for teachers and students from local sources. Golden LEAF funds will be used for professional development, training supplies, and the costs of substitute teachers during professional development.
