Description:

This award supports establishment of a warehouse logistics training program at Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina, Inc. Training will be provided at Second Harvest’s new headquarters and training facility being built in Whitaker Park, the former Reynold Tobacco factory complex in Winston-Salem. Second Harvest will collaborate with Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina, GuilfordWorks, and local industry partners to train at least 25 individuals, over three years, prepared for jobs in forklift operations, warehouse management, or truck driving. Golden LEAF dollars will be used for equipment associated with the logistics program.
