This award provides funding to Halifax County to construct an approximately 40,000-square-foot shell building, expandable to 76,000 square feet, located at the Halifax Corporate Park. The county anticipates that completion of the building would result in $3,469,839 in public infrastructure investment, $10,000,000 in private capital investment, and the creation of 100 new jobs with an average annual wage of $47,000. Golden LEAF funds will be used for design, planning, and construction of the shell building and contingency.
