Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Transylvania County for a collaborative effort to support STEM education in middle and high schools and assist the County with growing jobs at an existing company that is in need of additional space to manufacture product. The company has indicated it will employ at least twenty (20) new people in addition to the 20 it currently employs. Golden LEAF funds will be used for facility construction and pre-engineering kits for use by the middle and high school students.
