The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Fayetteville State University to enhance training within the School of Nursing. Golden LEAF funds will be used to purchase additional software and training equipment to support program growth and provide simulated health scenarios similar to experiences students will encounter in the workplace. A lack of available clinical sites limits the university’s ability to provide students with applied learning experiences where they can practice what is learned in the classroom in simulated, safe environments to better prepare them for employment in the healthcare sector.
