This award provides funding to the City of Hickory to construct approximately 1,400 linear feet of industrial access road from Fairgrove Church Road westward to a new cul-de-sac in the Fairgrove Business Park. The access road will serve 107 industrial acres, including a city-owned tract. The city anticipates the project would result in 200 new jobs at an annual wage of $55,000 and $33.6 million in private investment.
