The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools (ECPPS) for the implementation of an early college high school to be located on the College of the Albemarle campus. The ECPPS early college will provide students the opportunity to graduate with a high school diploma and earn an associate degree or career credentials. Focus areas for the Elizabeth City Pasquotank Early College include integrating STEM-related career pathways, implementing a 1:1 digital learning program, providing blended and collaborative learning, teaching problem-solving with real-world challenges, and connecting the curriculum to community-based work experiences. Golden LEAF funds will be used for professional development for teachers/staff, student devices and technology equipment, furniture and equipment, and classroom/space renovation.
