The Town of Roseboro experiences frequent flooding during moderate rain events down West Roseboro Street. Both sides of West Roseboro Street experience heavy sidewalk flooding due to undersized infrastructure and V-shaped sidewalks that pool large amounts of water in front of businesses. Because West Roseboro Street sits higher than the floor of the businesses, sidewalk stormwater infrastructure is necessary to reduce flooding of businesses. Golden LEAF flood mitigation grant funds will be used to complete preliminary design of improvements on both sides of West Roseboro Street sidewalks. The creation of new stormwater infrastructure along the sidewalks will increase the safety of residents that frequently access the businesses.
