Organization:
City of Raeford
Amount:
$958,000.00
Program Area:
Disaster Recovery Grant Program
County of Applicant:
Hoke
Year:
2018
Description:

The South Main Street and Southern Avenue neighborhood of the City of Raeford has experienced frequent flooding following prolonged rain events, including Hurricane Matthew. Flooding makes the streets impassible, stalling vehicles and stranding residents. A preliminary engineering assessment determined replacement of undersized stormwater infrastructure is necessary to alleviate flooding. Golden LEAF Hurricane Matthew Disaster Recovery grant funds will be used to support design, engineering, and construction of improved stormwater infrastructure.
