Wind and rain caused by Hurricane Florence damaged Bladen County Hospital. The roof suffered extensive damage, allowing water inside the building and causing interior damage. Golden LEAF disaster recovery grant funds will be used to enable repair of roof sections 1, 8, and 9. The hospital is pursuing FEMA Public Assistance and insurance funding to complete the project. Bladen County is a critical access hospital with 25-beds, emergency and other services.
