Description:

Exposure to floodwaters and significant debris during Hurricane Florence damaged the Dodge Charger used by the town manager in his role as the emergency manager for the Town of Cape Carteret. Golden LEAF Hurricane Florence Disaster Recovery Grant Program funds will be used to replace the totaled vehicle with a higher profile vehicle to provide enhanced response capabilities for future storm events. The full extent of the damage was not apparent until after the FEMA Public Assistance deadline passed. The town will also use insurance proceeds towards the replacement of this vehicle.
