The purpose of this grant was to support STEM education improvements for middle and high school students in Avery County. Funds were used for professional development, to purchase curriculum kits, supplies, and the computer equipment needed to implement the school system’s Gateway to Technology Initiative in the middle school and Project Lead the Way in the high school.
