Description:

This grant provides funding to Good Hope Hospital to expand its facility. Good Hope provides in-patient adult behavioral health services. It serves patients from much of southeastern North Carolina from its location in Erwin. The hospital is doubling its number of beds to 32 to meet demand for its services. Other sources of funding for the project include the State of North Carolina, which awarded the hospital $3,000,000 from the Dorthea Dix Hospital Property Fund. Good Hope anticipates it will hire at least 24 additional full time staff as a result of this expansion. Golden LEAF funds will be used for construction and renovation, and equipment.
