The purpose of this grant is to provide funding for Beaufort County Schools to expand career pathway programs at three local high schools. This project will align course offerings to high demand employment opportunities in the area by establishing education to work pipelines in advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and agriculture, among others. CTE course offerings will include masonry, welding, carpentry, drafting, electrical, health science, automotive, boat building, and agriculture classes. Expected outcomes include increases in the number of career pathway completers, number of students earning third party credentials, and number of students participating in apprenticeships and internships. Career & College Promise and continuing education course completion will also be enhanced through the project. Golden LEAF funds will be used for construction, renovations, and program related equipment.
