This grant provided funding for Beaufort County Schools to expand career pathway programs at three local high schools. The project aligned course offerings to high demand employment opportunities in the region by establishing education to work pipelines in advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and agriculture, among others. CTE course offerings included masonry, welding, carpentry, drafting, electrical, health science, automotive, boat building, and agriculture classes. Outcomes included increases in the number of career pathway completers, number of students earning third party credentials, and number of students participating in apprenticeships and internships. Career & College Promise and continuing education course completion were also enhanced through the project. Golden LEAF funds were used for construction, renovations, and program related equipment.
