Baptists on Mission/ NC Baptist Men mobilizes men, women, and students in state, national, and international projects and partnerships, including disaster relief and disaster recovery. The disaster recovery ministry includes tree removal, temporary roof repair, and removing damaged materials from flooded homes to assist in helping families rehabilitate damaged homes. Grant funds are requested to support rebuild efforts in Duplin, Pender, Robeson, and Craven. Funding awarded from the NC Hurricane Florence Relief Fund will be used to support volunteers (food, laundry, shower) and for building materials. The funds will also support supplies and materials for smaller activation sites. The Baptist Men anticipate a minimum of 2,000 volunteer days per week. The Baptist Men anticipate serving at least 100 homes each in Duplin, Pender, Robeson, Craven, and Pamlico Counties as well as at least 50 families each in Carteret, Jones, Onslow, New Hanover, Brunswick, Columbus, Bladen, and Sampson.
