This award provides funding to Pitt County to construct approximately 13,500 linear feet of 12” water line infrastructure. The extension will allow adequate system pressure to meet fire suppression requirements at Tract A of the Ayden Rail Site. The county anticipates that the project could result in 200 new jobs with an average salary of $50,000 and $100 million in private capital investment at that site.
