This grant helped Rocky Mount Opportunities Industrialization Center, Inc. (OIC) expand capabilities to offer dental services in downtown Rocky Mount. This project increased OIC’s capacity to meet the need for integrated medical care in its service area. The expansion of dental services was one component of OIC’s larger plan to add a dentist, pediatrician, psychiatrist, licensed clinical social workers, and complementary support personnel. OIC had secured funding and begun to renovate existing space to accommodate ten exam rooms for primary care, a behavioral health suite with four offices, a radiology service center, and a dental suite with eight operatories. Golden LEAF were used to purchase dental equipment.
