This grant provided funding to the NC Global Transpark Authority to support North State Aviation, LLC (NSA), a maintenance, repair, and overhaul company, with an expansion at the Global Transpark. NSA, which had one existing location in Winston-Salem, was pursuing a new business opportunity that required a second location with a sufficiently long runway for 737s to land and at least one aircraft hangar. Golden LEAF funds were used for improvements to the hangar.
