The purpose of this grant was to provide funding to Scotland Health Care System for a three-part project that aimed to expand access to health care services in the county. The project included (1) renovating the Emergency Center to increase the number of patient rooms and provide a safer and more secure behavioral health suite; (2) the addition of staff and providers to Harris Family Practice to increase hours of service; and (3) the addition of space to Scotland Surgical’s existing building to expand the waiting area and create additional procedure rooms, exam rooms, and offices.
