The Twilight School is a program started by Greene County Schools to assist students with credit recovery, to help students who are short on senior credits earn additional credits toward graduation, and offer assistance to students working on an alternative diploma. The program currently serves 100 students. Golden LEAF funds will assist Greene County Schools with the expansion of the Twilight School to be able to serve 150 additional students in 2011. The goals of the program are to improve educational opportunities for high risk students, reduce the dropout rate and increase the graduation rate. GLF funds will be used for personnel, professional development, and instructional tools.
