The purpose of this grant is to assist First Care Community Health Centers with renovation and construction of Benhaven Medical Center, a primary care facility that was opened in 1998 in Cameron, NC. Proposed improvements include construction of three additional exam rooms, remodeling/expansion of the patient waiting room, and two additional offices for referral/outreach services and mental health. The project will help meet the increasing demand from population growth in the area including that resulting from BRAC. Golden LEAF funds will help pay for construction. The project will create three full-time equivalent jobs.
