Description:

This Golden LEAF grant provides funding to North Carolina State University (NCSU) to improve the profitability of the pastured meat industry in North Carolina. Project staff will provide workshops, consumer marketing, videos and online materials, and technical assistance to farmers, meat processors, extension educators, and the public. They will reach out specifically to eastern North Carolina farmers to engage them in the program. Golden LEAF funds will be used primarily for staffing, workshops and technical assistance, and supplies.
