What information is in a Golden LEAF Newsletter?

April 27, 2023

The Golden LEAF Foundation produces bimonthly newsletters on Golden LEAF’s news and announcements on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Golden LEAF also offers quarterly newsletters, focused on a priority area at a time (Job Creation and Economic Investment, Workforce Preparedness, or Agriculture) on third Thursdays in January-March, May-July, and September-November. If you scroll past the articles and features, each of the Golden LEAF newsletters offer other helpful resources.

Grantee Tip of the Month: Each bimonthly newsletter offers Golden LEAF award recipients with a tip of the month. This section provides practical insights into things like reporting tips, how to stay connected for programmatic updates, grantee training opportunities, and sharing exciting milestones through our newsletter.

Golden LEAF in the News: This section aims to promote Golden LEAF-funded projects that are featured in local and statewide news outlets. If you have a news article to share, send it to [email protected]. Your article may make it in an upcoming newsletter.

Golden LEAF Resources: Golden LEAF has many programs and initiatives, including the Golden LEAF Scholarship Program, Open Grants Program, Economic Catalyst Program, Community-Based Grants Initiative, Flood Mitigation Program and SITE Program. This section gives you a brief overview and a direct link to current programs/initiatives. You can also post a job announcement that will reach our ever-growing Golden LEAF Scholarship Alumni group.

Rural Resources: While Golden LEAF has some amazing opportunities for workforce preparedness, job creation and economic investment, agriculture, and scholarships, as well as several state-funded programs, there is a vast network of funding opportunities available to North Carolina organizations. In this section are resources available for rural North Carolina offered by various state and federal agencies, as well as some foundation funders. Each resource includes a brief overview, a deadline if applicable, as well as a direct link to the resource.

Quarterly Newsletter Sign Up: Do you want the latest news in Golden LEAF’s priority funding areas of Workforce Preparedness, Job Creation and Economic Investment, or Agriculture? Then, sign up for our quarterly newsletters. Typically, the quarterly newsletters get the latest news first. These newsletters focus on one of the three priority funding areas on a rolling quarterly basis and are sent only to those who sign up.

Contact Staff About a Project: Do you have questions that you cannot find the answer to on our website? Would you like to discuss a project that is in its early stages before submitting an application? This section links to a contact form that will help us match your questions with the right person to contact you, and in a timely manner.
