Description:

The purpose of this grant is to assist Greene County Schools with the expansion of its Young Scholars program to serve students in grades 6-8. The Young Scholars program is an afterschool and summer program offered to students in grades 1-5 who are not performing academically to their potential. Expected outcomes include an increase in student academic achievement, a decrease in dropouts, and an increase in the graduation rate.
