Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to the Cumberland County Public Library to assist with an effort to expand public access to computers and technology resources at each of the library’s eight locations throughout Cumberland County. This project would increase access to technology and allow library staff to provide expanded programming that includes instruction in resume preparation, creation of e-mail accounts, job search resources, interviewing techniques, etc. With additional equipment, library staff will also be able to transport laptops to venues outside the library such as community and recreation centers and provide training at off-site locations. Golden LEAF funds would be utilized for computers and related software and projectors, carts, and cases.
