Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to the WATCH (Wayne Action Teams for Community Health) program to expand its ability to provide free quality health care to the uninsured in Wayne County. The organization provides primary care and acute care for patients who do not have Medicaid, Medicare or private insurance coverage. Due to demand, Golden LEAF funds would be used to hire an additional clinical team and purchase equipment, supplies, and furnishings to allow WATCH to accommodate additional acute/primary care visits and provide a medical home to uninsured patients.
