Description:

The purpose of this grant is to assist the Town of Ellerbe with the construction of new infrastructure to eliminate environmental and financial hardships related to their 50-year old wastewater treatment and discharge system. Sewer lines will be constructed from Ellerbe to the City of Rockingham, which will allow Ellerbe to pump their untreated wastewater to Rockingham’s wastewater treatment plant for treatment and discharge. A benefit to Ellerbe and all of Richmond County will be the opportunity to develop the Highway 220 corridor with industrial and commercial enterprises.
