Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to The Health Department to remodel the former ABC store in Columbia into a dental facility which will be equipped to provide dental care to adults and children at least 3 days per week. Currently, there are no dental practices in Tyrrell County or in neighboring Hyde County. The Tyrrell County Dental Clinic will provide preventive and restorative care to adults and children. Fees for patients without dental insurance or Medicaid will be based on family income and a sliding scale. Golden LEAF funding will be utilized for building renovations and equipment.
