The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to The Town of Robbinsville to leverage over $5 million in other funds to relocate and replace the town’s wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and to rehabilitate the sewer system to increase efficiency and capacity. The existing WWTP is in poor condition and poses significant public health hazards. Built in 1964 and upgraded in 1986, the plant’s treatment equipment and structures are either no longer operational or quickly reaching the end of their service life.
