This Golden LEAF grant will support efforts to create a regional cold storage facility at the former Pilgrim’s Pride warehouse in Wilkes County, NC. Previous studies have identified a strong demand for cold storage by local farmers in the area, especially apple growers.
Any project more than a couple of years old may not reflect current Board priorities.
