Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Beaufort County Community College (‘BCCC’) to strengthen its existing truck driver training program, originally funded by Golden LEAF in November 2006. The funds will be used to purchase a used Class B bus and four additional used tractors and trailers and to rebuild/repair existing equipment. The grant will allow the college to meet requests for CDL Class B training and increase the average CDL class size by 20 per cent.
