This award provides funding to Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture (BRWIA) to develop five satellite pick-up locations in Watauga and Ashe Counties for BRWIA’s High Country Food Hub online marketplace. This project is designed to retain existing customers and meet increased consumer demand. By making pick-up sites more convenient, BWIA anticipates increasing the number of consumers who make monthly use of the High Country Food Hub by 150. Golden LEAF funds will be used for equipment, delivery vehicle, and other Food Hub distribution-related expansion costs.
