Description:

This grant will help UNC-Pembroke Foundation expand the business services offered through its Thomas Entrepreneurship Hub. This initiative will create a regional “ecosystem” by connecting entrepreneurs and support organizations across the region by sharing best practices and resources and offering collective events. The Hub will use the computer-based Sourcelink network to help accomplish this task and will work with local partners to expand its entrepreneurship training programs. Outcomes for the project include the creation of new business start-ups, growth of existing businesses, and creation of new full-time jobs in addition to increased workshop/event participation and certificates earned through training completion. Golden LEAF funds will be used for network software and maintenance, personnel, and entrepreneurs in residence.
