Description:

The purpose of this Golden LEAF grant is to support the second year of work aimed at assisting NC farmers with the transition to high value organic production through education, demonstration, and marketing activities. Direct support will be given to farmers who seek to initiate a Community Supported Agriculture marketing program. In addition, the project will begin developing an institutional food-buying program targeting universities, hospitals, and nursing homes.
