This award provides funding to the City of Sanford to construct public water infrastructure to serve STERIS and other industries. STERIS is locating a Chemical Consumable Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Sanford that will include manufacturing and research and development functions. The company will invest $600 million and create 335 jobs with an average annual wage of $71,000 by December 31, 2029. Golden LEAF funds will support improvements to public water infrastructure.
