The purpose of this grant is to support the expansion of Honda Aircraft Company, Inc, which is considering constructing an $80 million manufacturing, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility, warehouse/distribution space for its jet aircraft operation, and an add-on aircraft component manufacturing division. The project is expected to create 419 jobs by the end of 2015 at an average wage of $53,141 plus benefits including at least one half the cost of employee-only health insurance. Funds will be used to aid in the extension of a publicly owned taxiway at the airport.
Any project more than a couple of years old may not reflect current Board priorities.
