This grant will be used to assist the City of Kings Mountain with the construction of a boat lift at Moss Lake on property owned, controlled and maintained by the City. This boat lift, rated to 50,000 lbs. capacity, will be used by the Project Float manufacturer to test boats and demonstrate boats for dealers and distributors and to increase public access to the City’s recreational facility. Over a five year period, this company is planning to invest over $18 million and create 640 jobs as part of this project.
