Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Perquimans County to support a project to construct an industrial boat ramp. The ramp will provide access to the Perquimans River and the infrastructure needed to attract new industry to the Perquimans Marine Industrial Park, which is in the development stages. The project is in partnership with the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, which will oversee the final design, permitting and construction of the project, including the construcion of a public boat ramp access at the same site. Golden LEAF funds will be used for the design and construction of the industrial boat ramp upgrades.
