The purpose of this grant is to assist Wilkes Community College with developing the Northwest North Carolina Advanced Materials Center to complement the ongoing work of the Northwest North Carolina Advanced Materials Cluster. The Center will provide workforce development training, foster applied research on composites, develop an education partnership with the NC university system, and enhance teaching and workforce development capabilities through distance education.
