The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Mitchell County Schools to implement a 1:1 program that will deploy laptops to students in grades 9-12 in January 2012 and build on the professional development training that is already underway. An overarching goal of this project is to enable every student to graduate from high school prepared for a globally competitive workplace and equipped with 21st Century skills which serve the students individually and the community as a whole.
